As the elevator door opens, you are greeted by the reception and waiting area. The sleek and angular reception desk is built from Breccia Rosso Marble and is complemented by the metallic golden Adobe logo mounted on the wall behind. The waiting area offers lounge seating and is lined with Derlot’s ‘Flatliner wall’ offering an impressive book collection. Storage space and personal lockers are provided around the corner.

Within the heart of the oval structure lies the café and bar. This region offers a getaway from workspaces and backs onto the central atrium of the building. The café and bar operate from day to night offering a meeting place for colleagues and friends to unwind. Separating this secluded bar and café from surrounding workspaces lies the sound proofed conference pods and virtual reality pod. The workspaces are divided by departments; creative, marketing and IT and are enclosed within tinted glass walls. Hotdesking is always an option, with group tables, individual desks as well as booth seating scattered throughout. The executive offices and lounge are lined along the west side of the building with views overlooking the Sydney Harbour. The office wouldn’t be complete without an activities zone which includes both pool and ping pong tables.

Considering the acoustics of the mostly open plan office space, enclosed offices and open workspaces include Autex’s ‘frontier talus acoustic fins’ which are suspended from the ceiling, offering an intriguing yet effective solution to minimise traveling noise. The more open and communal zones fashion Autex’s ‘horizon hanging acoustics’ while the soundproofed areas are lined with soundproof wall coverings.

The offices fashion lighting fixtures reigning from designers such as Alex Earl, Anthony Dickens and Marco Alessi to name a few. The seating arrangements have utilised modular components with the ability to adapt and grow with the companies’ evolving requirements and desires. This office provides an adaptable and invigorating workspace for Sydney’s Adobe employees.
